I’m enrolling in RCIA soon.
I’d like to know what yout thoughts are about how much time someone should spend in reading the Bible, and what is the best way to go about it? Ive mostly being dipping in and out without any structure. Is there a recommended approach to reading the Bible. I could commit about half an hour a day to it.
Also the Office - Ive been given a book that has the morning, evening and night prayers.
The night prayers are straight forward and I really enjoy reading them every night, but
the rest of it -
I’ve just been following my own order of morning and evening prayer week 1 then 2 etc because I dont have the required degree in literature, physics and cosmology to work it out !!! Ive tried to follow some online guideance but just gave up and follow my own schedule. Is there anything necessarily wrong with this, apart from the fact Im on a different page to the rest of the catholic communion praying the office. I really like the layout of the prayers and find them very uplifting.
