I feel God calling me to read the Bible on a daily basis. However, when I bring this up with my mother, she thinks it is weird, as she never has been one to read the bible. Also, she makes fun of people who are religious, and display it. How do I overcome being uncomfortable, and should I not care about what she thinks?

Follow your heart where God is calling you from.

Your mother will follow, when she see’s your sincerity.

However, this is a big must, do not preach what you learn. Live it and let her ask about the change she sees in you.

Always keep in mind that whatever you receive, did not come from yourself, but from God.

Great advice! 👍 I’m praying for you…

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name.
Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women
And blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
Pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
