Bible search online?

I’m looking for the possibilty to search bible online i.e. ‘show Col 1:24’ . I mean Catholic RSV or NAB
I know nice word or phrase search on quod.lib.umich.edu/r/rsv/simple.html (RSV). But this is not what I’m looking for now.

I use geocities.com/sacra_scriptura/eng_bible_index.html for RSV-CE - no search function. Just click your way to Book and Chapter.

I use newadvent.org/bible/ for DRV also same as about searching.

I like the Unbound Bible for topical / word / verse searches and then just cross ref to RSV-CE.

The NAB is available at the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops website at www.usccb.org/nab/bible/

To search for particular words or phrases at this site and the website mentioned by the other poster you could use the Advanced Search feature at www.google.com and enter the NAB website address (Books of the Bible | USCCB) or the RSV-CE website address (geocities.com/sacra_scriptura) in the “Search within a site or domain” box.

I find the simplest Bible passage, phrase or word search is www.biblegateway.com. They have the option of including the Deuterocanonical books in the search so you can also access the Douay-Rheims 1899 American Edition in addition to a wide variety of Protestant Bibles.

What I’ve done is, in my Favorites, I made a folder named “Bibles.” In that folder, I have the Biblegateway site, plus:

• the USCCB website for the NAB (nccbuscc.org/nab/bible/index.htm))
• catholicdoors.com/bible/index.htm for the Douay-Rheims from a Catholic site (just to make sure)
• newadvent.org/bible/ (this is also the DR - when I find a Bible resource online, I add it to this Favorites folder)
• catholic.org/bible/ for the New Jerusalem Bible

Anyway, this is what works for me.

This isnt exactly a website but I highly recommend downloading e-sword. I use the search function so many times on it and have so many different translations. It’s great! Check it out if you want at www.e-sword.net It’s free too in case you were wondering.

There’s always the EWTN Bible Search available on their site’s front page, but I’ve read here before that its not reliable, that it isnt an actual Catholic version of the RSV. Maybe someone could clear this up for me? As to whats wrong with it? Is it just a mix of editions, so as such isnt an edition as such? If you follow?

You can search it by passage, keyword or topic and it has a lot of different Bibles to choose from in many diferent languades.
