Anyone ever do/done them? If so, how did it go for you?
From what i’ve seen, it didn’t go well for you, bible study that is.Anyone ever do/done them? If so, how did it go for you?
Why such a harsh response? From what i’ve seen, it didn’t go well for you, bible study that is.
You should really start answering other people’s questions before you start asking more.Anyone ever do/done them? If so, how did it go for you?
Because you have demonstrated the reason fundamentalism and individual interpretation of scripture is dangerous. Why such a harsh response?
To answer your question, if it was presented in good faith and good will; which I truly doubt. Why such a harsh response?
Yes, I have helped lead them in the past and I am starting up a new one in January. We will be going over the upcoming Sunday readings.Anyone ever do/done them? If so, how did it go for you?
I agree, I am still awaiting answers in another thread you started and abandoned. That seems to be your modus operandi. You start a thread till you get questions you can not answer then you give up and try to start all over again. You should really start answering other people’s questions before you start asking more.
The Word was made flesh through a WOMAN!!! Praise God!WOW(Women of the Word) !
Do you have an issue with women studying the Bible together? The Word was made flesh through a WOMAN!!! Praise God!
I find when a woman reads the gospel, it is so powerful it gives me goose bumps. Maybe its just me.
Hi Roman Catholic,I participated in my Parish’s *Why Catholic *program focusing on the Sacraments. It’s not strickly a Bible study but the Bible and the Catechism were used to develop a deeper understanding of the subject at hand, in this case the Sacraments. I moved away from that Parish so I wasn’t able to continue the program past the Sacraments and my new Parish does not have Why Catholic. Overall I thought it was great. I had just converted and this program helped me to not only come to a better, and deeper, understanding of the Bible, the Sacraments and the Catechism but also I got to know people in my Parish.
I also participated in a non-denominational Bible study, which didn’t go so well.
God bless
Did my comment sound or appear negative towards women preaching the word of God? If it did I sincerely apologize, as that was not what I meant. I love to hear the Gospel proclaimed by a female.Do you have an issue with women studying the Bible together?
Thanks for sharing your studies to become a deacon. You do have a lot more training, studying, and praying before the Church will allow you to preach–Praise God!
God Bless!

My point was that the Word became flesh through a woman, Mary. Maybe that’s why it is so powerful to hear a woman preach the Word.
And yes I do have much studying left, roughly a year. But I do teach and preach now, only not within the mass. That is reserved to the ordained only.
