I cannot agree with you more.
Other Christian communities, tend to share much of “Personal experiences and encounters with the Lord” which makes it interisting to read; but if you start going in-depth, we can find some “shallow” teachings.
Roman Catholic authors e.g. S.J.'s have hore footnotes and notations than the main commentary and sometimes can be tiresome to read their works.
With many Non-Catholic Christians returning to the Roman Catholic Church, the Holy Spirit has sent to us a wealth of new approaches without compromising to the Doctrinal teaching of the Church. The newer generation of RC are offered great opportunities for Bible Studies within the RCC before moving out to “dialogue”.
