I have started a little Bible study on John if any of you are interested. I am putting it together as I go. All are welcome! litteralchristianlibrary.wetpaint.com/page/Gospel+of+John+Bible+Study
I am the only of me and my friends that have gone this far into scripture study that I can recall. Most generally use the NAB and that is it and don’t know the other options available to them. I will observe this Bible study. I have been a part of a Bible Study before and like you I like to incorporate different texts(Haydock Bible Commentary etc.) in addition to what I additionally am assigned to. I tend to make the most of your Bible Study and give reference to you in the future in further Bible StudiesThanks! I actually have been putting it together for someone who is interested in learning how to study the Bible, so I have been getting him aquainted with different commentaries. You can use any commentary you like or none at all. There is a thread at the bottom of the webpage where people can participate with questions and comments.
That’s cool. I am starting to draw the same conclusions using different versions of the Bible and different Commentaries. With me using the D-R and the Clementine Vulgate 95% of the time and 100% of people of the Catholic faith I know use the NAB I have learned to adjust between the two. I plan on forwarding a link to your site to some of my friends to see what they think of this Bible Study and hopefully to participate.I am only giving the NAB because the one I designed it for has trouble reading the DR, otherwise the DR would be my first choice. He also has trouble with the Haydock, and I have given him those others because they are layed out a little easier to follow.
