Bible Verse Game

I was inspired by dustdev14, Kaden’s, “What is your Favorite Bible Verse?”
I am just adding a slight twist to it.

I wish to turn this into a game.
Instead of me giving you my favorite verse,
I will just give you clues and you try to guess my “mystery” verse.

Your first clue is a picture of my car’s license plate.

God bless,

John

Jn 15:3? “You are already pruned because of the word that I spoke to you.”

Just a caution, we aren’t meant to give out our real info.

But I can see your real name is nemo and you are hosting an anemone.

This tells me your fav verse is about hospitality. Maybe when Jesus visited the home of Lazarus ( I think) and was asked which Commandments were most important

Good guess Petra, but that is not the verse I was thinking of.

To clarify my clue, the chapter and verse number has nothing to do with 153.

.I like your response , Roseeurekacross.

But I was thinking of a different verse.
.
I will make you fishers of men.

MarthaSo, I liked your guess,

But I was thinking of another verse.

Okay,

Here is your second clue.

The letter “J” is a reference to one of the Gospels.

John? Justice? Judaism?

John fishes 153

Hmm

John 21:11?
Yaa.
You Figured it out . You are right.

John 21:11
"So Simon Peter went aboard and hauled the net ashore, full of large fish, 153 of them; and although therewere so many, the net was not torn. "

I heard 153 -
Is how many rosary beads are used during the 3 decades.
Father Rippenger said that.

Thanks for your (name removed by moderator)ut but I considered this before posting and I Considered the risk versus reward on this issue.I am an older man not a younger female. I believe it was important for me to convey just how important this verse is to me. And if I suffer persecution for evangelization , so be it

Thank you. That is a good comment.
I think you meant to say The number of Hail Mary
Beads in 3 sets of mysteries The Sorrowful, The joyful , and Glorious. All of the mysteries at that time plus the 3 Hail Mary’s at the beginning of the rosary.

5 x 10 x 3 + 3 =153

That is a good theological truth but I don’t think that could have been John’s primary idea.

Just my opinion.

By the way, father Galloway’s teaching on the rosary last night on EWTN was superb. Best one hour talk on the Rosary I ever heard.

It makes me want to Read his new book.

Happy 101st year anniversary of the miracle at Fatima

Father Galloway is top notch -
I watched many interviews and lectures from him on YouTube.
That book does sound tempting 😇

The only bad thing about having John 21:11 as one of your favorite Bible verses, is that, on Sundays, it is only read once every three years. It is only read on the third Sunday of Easter in year C, the third cycle of years. Notice the two “three’s.”

John 21:14
“This was now the third time that Jesus was revealed to the disciples after he was raised from the dead.”

Did St. John and the liturgists intend a connection between the numbers 153 and 3 ?
Intentional or coincidence ?

God saved me from my own stupidity.
Before ordering this license plate I had requested one showing
JON 153.
Thank God that was already taken.

Before, I can get a person to see my special meaning, the first and most important objective is to get them looking for a special meaning.
And “JON 153” could have been just a random set of letters. In Florida the standard pattern that almost everyone has on their license plate is six random letters and numbers.
On some specialty plates there are five random letters and numbers. To Floridians this standard pattern for plates is obvious.

Fortunately, the single letter J on the left side of my plate will signal to others that I have specifically requested exactly this combination of letters and numbers. And, that this combination was so important to me that I paid extra to get this exact combination.

So, at least others will begin to ask, “What does “J 153” stand for ?”

To help them out I want to find a good Bible bumper sticker and to place it just below my plate. Does anyone have any suggestions ? Where can I get one at ?
