Feelings are very important in Christianity. Jesus wept. Jesus was happy. Jesus was sad.
Feelings are one of our first reactions to something and they can tell us when something is wrong or right.
However, our feelings are lesser in the order of nature than our reason. Thus, the conclusion that we reach from our feelings must always be verified with our reason. If our reason and feelings conflict, then the one of higher order must be triumphant - reason wins.
Feelings are wonderful, God-given gifts. God can use them to inspire us to pray and to do pious things.
Now, whilst it would not be the best to do something just because it feels good, God knows that we are weak and can use our feelings to show us the path of righteousness.
