When I first decided to become a catholic, I picked up a NKJV Life Application bible. Not thinking that it wasn’t a “catholic” edition. I later got myself a paperback NAB. Later, on my “christmas hint list,” I had down the hardback Douay-Rheims. My mom got it through the Tan publishers. At the time, it was $45.
I also got ahold of the Catholic Answers bible. One thing I found of interest that among all the “permissions,” (I can’t remember the two words/phrases used) one of the ones that were with the “catholic answers insert” portion was the name of our Archbishop.
