One could do Joanna Paula for a fan of JP2… I’ve also heard of girls named ‘Karla’ for JP2’s lay name, Karol

Maria is a good girl’s name, particularly for Catholic folks of hispanic heritage

Plectrude
Cunegunda
Wilgefortis
Wunna
Wulfhildis
Godaleva

😉

Hildegard!

But really. A lot of people say Esther sounds like an old lady’s name, but I think it’s a really nice. Also Hannah, Jacinta, Gemma, Naomi, Claire.

Wait, why not just… Carol?

Bridget (of course) 🙂 Just make it Bridget of Ireland because your kid will wonder which St. Bridget you meant when they get older.

My husband and I were going to use Lucy Ruth for a girl (before we found out we are having a boy). Next time! 😉

I also like Agnes, Felicity, Magdalena, Elena, Victoria…

We called our little girl (who we lost 24 weeks) Ava, there is a Saint Ava

“Magdalena” perhaps may be more popular in Spanish language households. My husband is Hispanic, so that may influence my preferences. Nonetheless, I think it’s a lovely name, and certainly not common these days!

I was just thinking of how Karol with a “C” is already a girl’s name. But I can’t argue with that, coming from a Polish family myself.
I thought Joanna Paula was quite clever too.

My dad wanted to name the boys Shaundor, Wolfgong, Zulton (I don’t know if that’s how to spell them) and a few other crazy names. Luckily my mom wouldn’t allow it. 😉
