Biblical Basis Comparison/Contrast: Admonishing Sinners vs. Not Pointing Out Sin of Others

There seems to be a fine line between the need to admonish a sinner when they are sinning yet also not pointing out the sins of others due to our own sinfulness. They are both Biblical concepts right? If someone could provide the Biblical basis for both concepts and if possible distinguish between the two so perhaps it may become a bit clearer when it is wise to admonish someone when they sin and when it would be wise not to point out the sin of others when we need to look at our own sinfulness.

Jesus drew something in the ground/sand when he was surrounded by those who wanted a woman stoned. He did not need to point out their sins, (he knew them all) and its likely what he drew in the sand was some message they understood about his knowledge of their sin, because they left like lightning after that. He asked the woman, have they all gone?
I guess we should keep in mind we have sins but also try to help the sinner, not scream at them and call them names.
Once you take joy in another’s painful state you have lost your humanity. You just need to do it all in love.
