For a book of god it seems to be rather lacking, any other author would be laughed at. This book should contain the utter truth? When you have explained every contradiction, then your book is perfect, until then don’t be surprised that so many people think its a load of fairy tales and lies

As I said in another thread, I certainly do not think you will win over an converts with this dribble, and I really don’t see anyone taking this post serious. So get behind me Satan! (Lucy Fur)

Dribble? I’m quoting the bible, you on the other hand are ignoring the facts because you just want to believe, your wanting and believing doesn’t prove god.

No, your not quoting the Bible, you are copying and pasting someone else’s work and just relying on it to be legit. I’ve dealt with many of those so-called contradictions, most of them are very easy to explain.

Satan, I mean Lucy Fur is just a troll trying to get a rise out of everyone he or she can.

Yeah, I realized that. I tried to give him/her the benefit of the doubt, I welcome anybody to test the Bible with intellectual honesty and ask all the hardest questions that they can, but obviously we are not dealing with someone with an honest spirit.

You cut and paste very well. Is their any thought that is original to you are are you just going to regurgitate everthing you’ve read.?

And your shouting proves nothing but that you have a big mouth!

Where’s your intellectual argument? Or do you have to cut and paste everything?

I cut and paste for the obvious reasons, a) I don’t have the time to rewrite something that is perfectly well written by someone else, b) because it shows that it is not just me who thinks this way.
Otherwise I still write a huge amount myself.

Biblical Contradictions
Code:
Here is a short and incomplete list of Biblical contradictions which were obtained from postings in internet newsgroups. Unfortunately I did not record who posted them or if they have a web site with a longer and more complete list. If you like this page you might also like Contradictions of the Gospel and this List of Biblical Contradictions at [www.infidels.org](www.infidels.org)
If the Bible was divinely inspired, then why would it have so many really obvious contradictions?
Theological doctrines:
Code:
 1. God is satisfied with his works
     Gen 1:31
God is dissatisfied with his works.
     Gen 6:6
Because they were taken out of context. When determining the meaning of a single word in a sentence, one needs to read the whole sentence. A word by itself may have many meanings. The same applies to reading scriptures. You can’t just take one sentence without reading the rest of the passage.

For example, in your above number 1:

Yes, God was satisifed with his works. He looked at all he had accomplished after those seven days and was pleased. Yes, God was dissatisifed with his works because man chose evil over good when exercising free will. If you read the rest of the passage it goes like this:

1 And after that men began to be multiplied upon the earth, and daughters were born to them, 2 The sons of God seeing the daughters of men, that they were fair, took to themselves wives of all which they chose. 3 And God said: My spirit shall not remain in man for ever, because he is flesh, and his days shall be a hundred and twenty years. 4 Now giants were upon the earth in those days. For after the sons of God went in to the daughters of men, and they brought forth children, these are the mighty men of old, men of renown. 5 And God seeing that the wickedness of men was great on the earth, and that all the thought of their heart was bent upon evil at all times, 6 It repented him that he had made man on the earth. And being touched inwardly with sorrow of heart,

So you see that the two verses you quoted can be misconstrued as contradictions because they were taken out of context.

I think you’ll have a better understanding if you would take that list and sit down with your bible and read them as a whole and not just one verse.
