I am looking for something about shame and guilt directly from the Bible. Specifically, about healing and leaving the past in the past. does anyone have any quotes?

**Psalms 103:12:

As far as the east is from the west,
so far has he put our transgressions from us. **

  1. The Parable of the Prodigal Son. That’s my story, by the way.
  2. Psalm 51
  3. The Proclamation of the Kingdom. “Whose sins you forgive, they are forgiven.”

And the first thing Christ did when he came to the Apostles was breath on them, and tell them to be at peace.

All too often, we can believe that God’s mercy and love forgives our sins, but we refuse to forgive ourselves.

Matthew 18: 1-14 and Luke 15:1-7 (Parable of the Lost Sheep)

My favorite is Psalm 51.

the story of the woman taken in adultery (I can’t turn on the light to look at my bible in this room right now)
neither do I condemn you, go and sin no more
