Biblical Precedent

Is there any Biblical precedent for God to send a prophet to tell the people that what they think they are doing correct is not correct at all and they are worshipinga false God?

I know of cases where they were told to return to the true Faith, but I do not know of any case in the Bible where they were told that the True Faith had vanished and was no longer to be found on the earth

So, you are saying that there is a time in the Bible that God sent a prophet to say that the true faith has handed to man by God had completely vanished and it needed to be restarted?

God always sends prophets to bring Israel back to Himself. And the true faith never vanished from Israel; there is always a few families or individuals who truly worshipped God and not false gods. It is for their sake that God sent the prophets to unfaithful Israel. To say that the true faith vanished from Israel would be to say that God is unfaithful, that He went back on His covenant.

That was my assessment as well.

Based on that and that alone, can it be said that Biblically there is no concept of the “reintroduction” of the true faith to mankind? Would this not make faiths like Islam and the LDS in a difficult position Biblically?

May I ask you to define remnant as you use it above, and give examples of those remnants prior to 1500?

That “remnant” theory goes against what is promised to us in the Bible and was concocted to justify another few errant beliefs and denominations.
