Biblical reference to Slenderman?

Antioch, an ancient, magnificient Roman city, was a chief center of early Christianity, as reported in Acts 11:26. South of the city, a citadel at the foot of Mount Silpius displayed a huge carving of a faceless head, which pagans held was Charon, a deity who damned souls to the Underworld.

Could this be a biblical reference to Slenderman?

No, it’s talking about a statue of Charon.

For at least the second time- slenderman is not real. He’s not even a legitimate myth. He was made up on the internet a few years ago. He’s a joke. Please do not take him seriously.

I’ll admit. I want to make something up and pretend Slenderman’s real. But I won’t. This is at least the second time you’ve asked something concerning Slenderman. And here’s the thing– he’s NOT REAL. It can’t be a reference to Slenderman because he was created on the internet in 2009. NOT in Ancient Rome
 
I sense a sequel to the original Slenderman mock-umentary: “Biblical evidence suggests a ‘Slenderman’-like persona. Beware.”
 
I’d never heard of Slenderman, so I went to Wikipedia - the modern source of all knowledge. 😃

So is KingJohn just trying to make conversation? Or is he lacking common sense?

I dunno, he was talking about it earlier in popular media. He’s either kidding around or terrified out of his skin because he thinks Slendy is real.

If it’s the latter, I’d hate to be in his shoes. 😛
 
I have to say, I love the SlenderMan lore. I think it is funny though creepy. The best thing about it is that it was just made up for a contest to come up with the creepiest fake lore. Even dressed up like him the past Halloween, so that when I could take off my face I could still be wearing a suit. 😛

Love the Slenderman lore as well. I think made-up folklore has its own value in culture, and it is fun to see one as influential as Slenderman being elaborated upon by people, especially in the digital era.
But to claim that the mythos came from a much earlier time is just grasping at straws. I hope the OP is convinced that it is just a mythos, and a recent one at that.
