Forgetting Mitt Romney’s name is acceptable; normal people in their fifties start having failure in name recognition. But Biden’s forgetting he is running for President and saying he’s running for the Senate is another matter. As I’ve said before, I think he is simply not mentally fit to be President. Trump may be incoherent at times, somewhat crazy, and ethically challenged, but at least he is clear-minded. His politics are another problem (for me).

Fifteen-million-dollar minimum wage sounds pretty good, though. Socialist!

i agree. are we allowed to reply with a video of the many Trump gaffs?

As someone with a father with Alzheimer’s it really is disgusting his family is doing this to him.

Thanks. Luckily it’s very early still but the decline is visible. It’s pretty rough, he’s always been very independent so getting him to start going along with the program of being checked in on and following the doctors recommendations is… challenging to say the least. He doesn’t want to admit the danger he can pose to himself now.

To the readers here.

Nepperhan is wrong. The quotes are right on. And they are in appropriate context too.

Here is one quote from the OP calling Romney “the Mormon”.
Biden forgot who Mitt Romney was while getting off his plane, instead
calling him “the Mormon.”
Bold mine.

Here again is the video of Biden forgetting Romney’s name, and calling Romney “the Mormon”.

.

Here is the other quote posted from my OP . . . .
Joe Biden: “I’m running as a proud Democrat for the Senate”
Bold mine.

Here yet again is the video of Biden saying exactly this . . .

.

To the readers: Draw your own conclusions concerning Nepperhan’s criticism against my OP.

I stand by my OP.

The headline was right-on.

Here it is again.
Joe Biden’s Probable Dementia Was on Full Display Today Forgets Romney’s name. Forgets what office he is running for … again

I’m not going to go around and around on this. It state Biden’s ‘probable dementia’. That is just an allegation and is in no way proved. No reputable media outlet would have a headline like that.

Plus the thread title is even worse than the headline.
Deal with some issues. State some facts and opinions based on those.

Do you consider CNN reputable? (I don’t but if you do, I probably have diiferent reasons WHY I know CNN is not reputable).

Would you say MSNBC is “reputable” Nepperhan?

How about The UK Independent? USA Today?

Here is Newsweek on MSNBC from back in 2017 . . .

A lot of this could be solved for Catholics if the church would assert itself and guide its flock more carefully. Instead of side stepping and leaving it up to individuals, it would be helpful to have clear, straightforward directives. Candidate A’s stated policies are incompatible with church teaching, candidate B is not perfect but in an areas less grave, therefore a vote for either is not good, but B is less bad. Or even, Catholics should refrain from voting until such time as a viable candidate arises who is more compatible with our faith.

We have to vote on the recorder of deeds and the trustees of the water reclamation district in my county. You think the Church should take up a position as to these? What if court clerk (another elective position) favors same sex marriage. The clerk has nothing to do with marriages.

Should Catholic judges grant no fault divorces if that is the law?

Your parish priest should be able to help with local matters. But mainly I was speaking to national elections.

No ideally they’d recuse themselves.

As Karl Keating has said.

You don’t vote for a pro-abortion politcian for dog catcher.

Also as Keating warns, you realize almost nobody gets their start in politics as a Senator, etc. They may BEGIN their political career as “dog catcher” so you don’t allow these guys to get a proverbial leg-up in politics.

puer.dei . . .
I don’t see why not. Covfefe on, dude.
But dude. People ALREADY post Trump gaffes here on CAF.

Why not begin yet another thread on whatever Trump gaffe you want?

But my advice to those guys is,
don’t come here and poison this thread
that is not associated with “Trump”, with more anti-Trump items to clutter up this thread.

Covfefe on, dude.

The judge cannot recuse himself or herself if assigned to the domestic relations division – divorce is 40% of what they do. Also, judges have to be (in rotation), the ‘marrying judge’. Should a Catholic judge refuse to marry a couple?
