I have several gay acquaintances.

The only people who talk about the “homosexual agenda” are groups like the AFA, who clearly have their own agenda.

Their WV affiliate gave a “30% family values rating” to a friend of mine, a devout and generous Orthodox Christian, for merely voting to allow the issue of riverboat gambling to be discussed on the floor of the WF legislature.

He was against it, but saw no reason why it should not be discussed in a deliberative body. That way, he felt his colleagues could see what a silly idea it was.

I must agree! I have several gay friends and most of them don’t even know what the “homosexual agenda” is? It seems the AFA knows more about it than the homosexuals

I will also mention that boycotts of Macdonald’s (which some have suggested) only affect the minimum-wage grunts at the bottom of the pyramid.

I have several gay family members that are an active part of the homosexual agenda. Complete with having “youth groups” for gays as young as 13. They are vocal about thier agenda and very confrontational. But one of the biggest reasons I boycott mickey d’s is because it keeps making me fat and it is just so darned good. So this just helps me in my mind not go there and teach my DD’s bad eating habits.

Okay, so if I’m reading this correctly, the writer is concerned about the promotion of the gay agenda…did anyone notice the google ad on the side? Lesbian Las Vegas!!!

The blog owner has no control over those ads - Google generates the ads based on words it “sees” in the article. That’s all. If the article were about cars you would see ads for cars. It’s not all that sinister.

Can anyone explain to me what, exactly, the “homosexual agenda” is suppose to be?

Hmmmm…not sure but I think it has something to do with getting homosexuality accepted as mainstream.

Is that so bad? I know there are the radicals out there who want to thrust it upon everyone, and I disagree with them. But most gay folks just want to be normal, productive members of society without getting grief from others because of who they fall in love with. That’s not to say that everybody has to agree, but I would hope we could agree to disagree and continue on in charity 🙂

What - like murderers, thieves or any other sinner wants, on the whole, to be normal, productive members of society, without getting grief from others because of their sins? 🤷

According to the Catechism of the Catholic Church," homosexuals (including those who are chaste) “must be accepted with respect, compassion, and sensitivity. Every sign of unjust discrimination in their regard should be eliminated.” At the same time it explains that under no circumstances should homosexual acts be approved. Nor do they proceed “from a genuine and effective complementarity.”(sections 2357-8) In fact, Catholicism sees all sexual relations outside of marriage as sinful
Naturally, you are not going to agree with this. But my point is that Catholicism does not agree with some of the things in your message. Nor will it ever will it ever agree. The Church calls homosexuals who come to it to chastity.

I wish they’d all go back into the closet! Why do we need to be so understanding of homosexuals? They are doing bad things, performing unnatural acts and trying to make the rest of us say it’s okay. It’s not okay, and neither is gay marriage.

I too, have lots of acquaintances/family members in the homosexual community. Maybe it’s your geographical location that accounts for your associates for not being overly dramatic about their lifestyle.

In LA and SF, it’s a very different story. The agenda is obvious and vocal, It goes far from guaranteeing civil rights of an individual, to an “in your face” confrontational approach. “We’re here, we’re queer” mini parades can erupt at almost any time. Forced education in the homosexual practices from grades K-12, along with indoctrination that this is a normal expression of sexuality, is what we face in California.

That’s what I call an agenda.

McDonald’s has never been my restaurant of choice ('cept for those fries, love those fries) so it’s not much of sacrifice for me…I’ll just drive the extra half mile to In and Out…their fries are pretty good, too.

Sure Ryan, I can help you with this. The “agenda” is not a spelled out manifesto that they wave around. Much like you cannot p(name removed by moderator)oint a Christian agenda or any agenda over a huge population but it does have some goals and themes that seem to unite those who are part of it. There are plenty of websites, not for profits, community groups and just plain old “gay” groups who promote a in your face style of “acceptance” of thier lifestyle. without regard to other’s morals, religion, kids, or tact. Thier goal, much like many youth goals is to shock, and awe. My cousin had me, my wife and our two girls ages three and 18 mos. to his house for dinner his coffee table is covered with gay, magazines, many of which are quite graphic, aimed at young boys, and push a very real agenda. These are not porn. We left, they were put out on purpose, that is my cousins nature, just to show us how intollerant we are. Anyway, as someone who used to be involved with people who are very active in the homosexual agenda, my experiences are that it is very dangerous and they do a great job of not letting anyone have that opinion that it is dangerous.

I didn’t really figure they had control over it…though I did momentarily wonder if perhaps some hacker got in and did it as a joke…wouldn’t be the first time something like that has happened.

Murder and stealing are sins against charity and justice. They violate the basic rights of other individuals. Any action that violates the rights or dignity of another person is gravely immoral. Comparing such sins to two consenting adults who sincerely love each other is like comparing apples and oranges. It just ain’t the same 🙂 If we are going to disagree whether gay folks should be chaste or not is fine, but let’s not make false comparisons.

You have no idea what kind of pain and suffering people have had to endure because of attitudes like “I wish they’d all go back into the closet!” You have every right to disagree with gay folks who are “out and proud” but they have just as much right to disagree with you.

I think we need to meet people where they are at and try to find common ground. That was obviously not the attitude your cousin had and if that is the “gay agenda” then I would certainly NOT subscribe to it.

As a Catholic and from a Catholic and Holy point of view, can you make an argument for homosexuals not to be chaste?
