James_2:24:
By far it is the rejection of the Real Presence in the Most Holy Eucharist. It is the source and summit of our Faith!
James… many Protestants subscribe to and believe in the Real Presence at the Eucharist. My tradition is one of them.

O.S. Luke:
I suspect (heck, I know) that there are Catholics who practice birth control, support a woman’s right to choose regarding abortion, do not believe in transubstantiation, etc. But that’s not the fault of doctrinal standards - that’s a failure to adhere to them.

Two very, very different things. Protestants are accused of pick and choose. But the fact of the matter is that many Catholics do it, too. That certainly doesn’t make it right.

There are substantial differences. There are certainly Catholics who pick and choose which to obey and which should not, but is this the thing taught doctrinally by the Church? Of course not. Protestantism, by and large, picks and chooses which to follow and which should not, so much so that with the lack of authority within it, it has caused more fragmentation than unity.

The belief in the real presence requires faith, the"solas" can be refuted using logic.

Not all Protestants embrace the “solas.”

And btw… believing in the Real Presence defies logic; it’s a supernatural event, as are all the sacraments. I embrace the Real Presence (as does my communion) - which is the embrace of mystery. So logic isn’t always helpful, Buster.
