What impresses me most about the Church is its institutional integrity; doctrine is consistent across the board, and life is saturated with doctrine. There’s not so much an excuse for a disconnect between beliefs and practice.

Hi Sanguine Rose,

Glad you liked the rosary…each bead like a prayer to Our Lord and Mary prays with you.

I knew of a local pagan woman who was dying and in hospice.

She had these pagan statues around her bed. One had a man’s body with a lion head. Her boyfriend had her idols placed on her stand to be with her…but one was a tiny little statue of Mary of Guadalupe.

In the meantime, this poor woman, all hooked up, was wanting to run away. She said she was having terrible attacks by the devil. She would have bad dreams of being in a jail. She was so afraid…one night she told her boyfriend to ‘get Jesus out of here!’. So he told Him to leave.

When he finally was gone one night, the hospice worker picked up Mary’s little statue and asked her if she heard about the roses in December. She told her about the bishop in Mexico who was praying to God and asking the Blessed Virgin to pray with him that the colonialists would be kinder to the native Indians…and he asked for roses as a sign his prayers would be heard.

In December in the early 1500’s, Juan Diego, a devout Catholic Indian who turned to Christ in spite of bad behaviors…would go to daily Mass and walk a total of 13 miles each day. One day a beautiful lady appeared on this hill near a shrine of the Aztec goddess of peace. She asked him to pick some flowers and give them to the bishop. He did so and when he came to the bishop, he told him this lady asked him to bring these flowers to him.

When Juan opened the cape, all these roses fell out…December roses. And when the Indians saw the image of Guadalupe on the cape…they converted…For a year, every day, 3000 Indians would come in for baptism. There came about great peace among all the people of Mexico because of the Lady…and the roses.

The dying woman was very touched by this story. Then she said how she had lived a bad life. The hospice worker then shared with her what Mary does for us today…Mary makes us presentable so we can have confidence to face Our Lord…the aide then asked if she could pray a Hail Mary with the dying woman, and she said yes. The woman then said she was starting to feel so much peace.

Then the lady was then told about Jesus and how much He really loves her and means her no harm. And if Mary could share a secret with her right now…it would be that Jesus is waiting for her when she passes on.

The lady held the little statue in her hand…and she went to sleep and the aide saw the morning dawn come into the room and see it reveal the dying woman’s countenance and yes, she was in so much peace.

The hospice worker came back that evening to continue. But the mother in law…a Catholic praying for her son…told said the woman had died that day. But she asked the mother to give her the little statue of Mary and then told the mother, ‘Mary told me a secret…she said Jesus is waiting for me…’ and then she died.

This is a verifiable true story, statement by statement.

I would suggest you learn about the rosary and learn to use it so you can experience the a new life awaiting you in the Lord given you by Holy Mother Mary.
