If there were not innocent women and children in the Waco compound, the government could easily have handled the situation much more efficiently and quickly. How many of the National Guardsmen were injured or killed?That is until you actually look at the evidence that proves otherwise.
Waco is a prime example of how weak the government is in the face of armed resistance. Look at the massive amount of manpower, time and money that went into supressing a tiny goup of 19 armed men (the rest were women and children that took no part in the fighting) tied down nearly 1000 federal and state officers and national guardsmen. Imagine if it had been a popular uprising with the support of thousands of armed men and women.
How could such an uprising get organized in our modern-day society? And, even if some group were to organize it, they would be trapped or shot down in a moment’s instance.
