Physics does exist. My argument is having words for people who don’t believe in things that don’t exist e.g. a-harrypotterist or a-unicornist -Tgeist does not mean mythical imaginary God. It means God.
I’m sorry but you saying there is no God does not make it so. This is the exact mentality I speak of in that you consider yourself God.
I could say I am
A physics Meaning I don’t believe physics and I think physics is imaginary.
It would be quite silly for me to be upset that people referred to my belief as an aphysicist because I said physics doesn’t exist.
Physics does exist and if I said otherwise it would be laughable.
So unless you want to provide scientific proof that God does not exist, then the term atheist makes perfect sense.
We can’t prove scientifically that Harry Potter or Unicorns don’t exist. That does not mean until we prove it, that they exist. Fictional characters are not real, just because we can’t prove they don’ exist. Gods are works of fiction. We can’t prove they are not real, but that does not alter the fact they are fictions. Every God that man has created has ended up replaced by another. I see no reason for that to change.
I am not saying that there is no God in the hope that that somehow makes it fact. I am saying its a bit absurd to have a word for people who don’t believe that fictional characters are real.
