I used to like him…that is until he lost his mind and become such a pompous jerk. Sometimes I feel bad for the guests on his show, no matter how crazy their opinion may be. He just shouts them down if they don’t agree with him.

Don’t even get me started on Limbaugh and Hannity…all the hatred they spew makes me sick. What ever they say is law, and they act like they have no agenda. They all beleive their opinions are like Papal Infalibility.

O’Reilly, Rush and Hannity are often called the most horrible things. They are despised by liberals, everywhere. Any time a liberal is faced with the utterings of a moral conservative, their best and only response is name-calling. Anyone who disagrees with the liberal ajenda better be prepared to be on the receiving end of an endless tirade of insults.

I happen to like O’Reilly, Rush and Hannity. To me, they represent morality that seems to have gone by the wayside in today’s modern secular society. You can depend on those three to support life, marriage and family. They can be counted on to support our country. By that profession, I realize that I expose myself to the insults hurled by liberals.

To me, the liberals are soft on crime, support abortion, homosexual marriage, more and bigger government, a weak military, and the continual removal of anything Christian. Liberals have no problem publically and before a global audience, denouncing just about anything having to do with this great country of ours.

Again, those who typically trash Bill, Rush and Sean will only use generic insults, not good, intelligent arguements to drive home their liberal points.

I am by no means a liberal. I’m just someone that doesn’t need people to think for me, and I can come to moral conclusions all by myself. I don’t need those “all-knowing” talking heads to tell me what to think, but unfortunatly, many people in this country need that.

These guys hate people for their ideas and stances. People in this country have the right to believe whatever the hell they want.

Anyway, in my eyes, Limbaugh and Oreilly lost a lot of credibility with thier little scandals.

First Rush, always trashtalking people that had substance abuse problems, when all along, he had the mother of all oxycontin addictions. So much so, he lost his hearing.

And O’reilly, with his sex scandal. Thankfully, he settled out of court for an undisclosed sum of money, rather than fight it in court. Oh, and I love hearing him constantly call the heads of the Catholic Church “villains”. Give me a break.

Yes, you can always count on a thrice-divorced man like Limbaugh to support the sanctity of marriage.

I love those guys in a sort of comic relief way. I used to get upset when i listened to them, but now i find right wing radio pretty funny. They take themselves so seriously. On the other hand, it is sort of sad that shows like this exist. I think that these three particularly on the right, and then those like Michael Moore, & Al Franken on the Left, degrade the political discourse in this country terribly. So many people actually form their opinions from listening to talk shows instead of reading books, journals, etc.

Bill Bennett is my fav. What a bitter nasty old man. He actually told a story on the air about how his wife ‘did the right thing’ by not getting on an airplane when she saw a middle eastern looking man boarding. He ended that story by saying, “I won’t go into how the flight turned out or anything.” I was thinking, “of course you won’t because the flight turned out fine and your wife was just being a bigot.” Then again, maybe the guy got arrested or something and i am just being judgemental.

And you have facts to back up these accusations?

Please add Pat Buchanan to the threesome.

I was travelling recently and tuned a radio around and found scads of like-minded talk show hosts all around the country.

Gosh.

A convicted felon: Gordon Liddy – with a talk show and large audience.

A former White House aide: Mark Levin with a talk show.

What is the world coming to?!!!

Neil Boortz.

Monica Crowley - a PhD who wrote a book on Nixon.

Michael Savage - another PhD who wrote a bunch of books.

Tom Sowell - another PhD who wrote a bunch of books.

where will it stop???

I admire him for standing up for morals, but I don’t think Miss Manners would approve of how he treats his guests… :tsktsk:

Manners are an outward sign of charity, and I feel Mr. O’Reilly does his cause a disservice through his rudeness… 😦

They aren’t accusations…

Facts? Haven’t you read the news in the past years regarding these guys?

Limbaughs temporary deafness was attributed to his addiction to pain meds, primarily oxycontin.

O’Reilly’s scandal was big news last year…he settled out of court. I’d like to paste the transcripts of a taped phone call, but I wouldn’t dare post such filth in a family forum.

Do a news search…

I look at the message these guys give, rather than the state of the messenger. Don’t we do this with our religious clergy? Bill O’Reilly? What a jerk. BUT, he does have some good ideas (he’s very hard on pedophiles and court systems that protect pedophiles) and some whacko ones (Not taking CBS news to task for their Bush-Scandal last year). Is he a sick-o? I don’t know, and I don’t really care, unless he lets it affect his show or I know him personally.

Rush? Are ya’ll being a little hard on a guy that had severe back pain, which contributed to his drug addiction (note that he was prescribed this by a legitimate physician)? Did he bash drug users during this time? I’ve heard him mention that he never did, so you’re going to have to prove that he did. In the mean time, the guy wants less government, less taxes, and more free enterprise. Are these bad things? Not in my book.

Hannity? Yeah, another my way is right and you are obviously wrong. I like him but I get tired of him. He at least seems to have a squeaky clean image.

One thing you’ll find about these three guys, as well as several other conservatives - They are mostly upbeat people (of course you can take Savage and Buchanan out of this immediately).

I have not heard one single “Liberal” radio personality that is not bitter and complaining all the time. I mean, 2000 is over. 2004 is over. Get over it, and start talking about what you can do.

Notworthy

I think “Tiger” was a great Test leg-spinner and I think it’s terrible the way Bradman ostracised him for being a Catholic. Shane Warne may have overtaken his records but he’ll never come within cooee of matching him as a man.

I am aware of the “evidence” you sight. Do you believe everything you read or hear in the media? Don’t know about any O’Reilly tape, but, then again, I don’t look for stuff like that. As far as Rushy is concerned, the deafness issue was conjecture in the media and never proven. The powers that be in Palm Beach County have been trying for years to discredit him. I know 'cause I lived there.

Guess I just don’t always look for the worst in people. As Rush says, libs can’t defeat him in the arena of ideas, so they revert to name calling. Looks like he is right.

While O’Reilly is often entertaining, I prefer interviewers of a somewhat less frenetic nature–someone on the order or Brian Lamb, where at least a more normal conversation and interchange of ideas can take place.

I’m a Republican and I think he’s full of himself and ge proven he’s a hypocrite: does that make me a ‘lib?’

I couldn’t answer the poll because I have mixed views on these people. On one hand not everything that they say is incorrect. Yet, they often seem to be outraged that anyone has a different opinion then them. This annoys me.

IN the early days I liked O’Reilly’s concept of the no spin zone. It is still a good idea. At first Bill seemed to be unimpressed with famous people. This was refreshing. I no longer watch him because I find his style of debating to be abrasive. There is also the fact that he doesn’t allow real debate on his program.

No, it makes you judgmental. You still seem to take all of the accusations as gospel. I don’t.

Oh really? No, O’Reilly.

He was O.K. when I first started to watch him especially since I happen to agree with him on many issues, but I have grown tired of his style.

I very seldom watch him now. ( the same thing can be said for Sean Hannity )
