If I am in the wrong forum…pls excuse me…but has anyone ever heard of Bill Schoenbelen & seen a video produced by him entitled “Exposing the Illuminati From Within”?? I viewed a copy of it wherein he relates his journey from a Roman Catholic youth, through attending a Roman Catholic Seminary, getting involved in the occult, joining the Masons, progressing to the highest levels of Masonry and the Occult, becoming an ordained priest in the Old Catholic church, his subsequent “conversion” to the Evangelical faith. In this video he attempts to tie Masonry to the Occult, and in doing so; giving “his” interpretation of the history of Masonry, He really defames the Catholic Church…Just wondering if anyone has heard of him & how much of his expose’ of Masonry is true???

Schoebelen is associated with Jack Chick. I honestly don’t know that much about him, but if we are to judge by the company he keeps, I would consider him pretty unreliable on most things.
He may be accurate on Masonry–or he may not. I would look to another source before I accepted anything he said, since he seems to be. IMO, a rather shady charater…

Isn’t this the guy who claims to have been a satanist (or Wicca, can’t remember which), and a Mormon, and a Mason, and a Catholic priest (though, as it turns out, he’s married and his brand of Catholicism is schismatic)? And didn’t he write a little book in which he compared the occult elements of the Mormons, the Wiccans, and the Masons?

I found the title of the book: Mormonism’s Temple of Doom : Magick, Mormonism, Masonry. I read this a few years ago, and he claims that it was this book that made the Mormon church clean up some of the occult aspects of the temple wedding ceremony.

I think Mormons and Wiccans and Freemasons are terribly deceived, and I make no brief for any of their organizations…but you gotta wonder how a guy is able to work his way up to the high echelons of not one, not two, but THREE cults.

Also, I thought I read in his book that the Mormon temple in Salt Lake City is covered with occult symbols on the outside. I have visited Temple Square a couple of times, and I didn’t see any evidence of the symbols he was talking about, though I made a point of looking for them. I could be wrong, though, about which temple he was talking about: it could have been the one in Nauvoo, Illinois.

People like that guy have one goal in mind: Confuse people through intrigue into leaving traditional Churches and joining theres. It’s big business.
Its funny, though that he would try to tie masonry with Catholicism, because in order to do so he must ignore the overwhelming evidence that masonry’s main enemy is and always has been THE CATHOLIC CHURCH. Masons have played Protestants against Catholics for hundreds of years. Its all about divide and conquer. Read “Behind the Lodge Door”. It only deals with historically verfiable facts.
