Remarks from Billy Graham asserting that Muslims and those of other religions who “turn to the only light they have” without consciously trusting Christ are saved—despite clear warning in Scripture—have come back to light after his son Franklin Graham, the president of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA), expressed disagreement with a Wheaton professor who contends that Christians and Muslims worship the same God.

According to a Moslem convert to Catholicism I know, they do worship the same God. The God of Abraham. She says somewhere along the line Islam was taken over by radicals and turned it into what it is today. But she always prayed to God (in her native tongue, Allah). God answered her prayer and showed her Jesus and Mary.

Pray for Moslems, that God answer their prayers and show them salvation through His Son, Jesus.

If this were any more vague and full of caveat, I would say this was from Pope Francis. 🙂

God saves who he will. If He wants to show a person the “light” (which can only be Jesus) and not explain what it is in detail, He can do that. Fortunately, our salvation is not dependent on our own understanding.

From the linked article:
“As previously reported, associate professor Larycia Hawkins posted to Facebook two photos of herself wearing a hijab earlier this month, and stated in a lengthy explanation that she plans to wear it everywhere she goes during the Advent—including at the professedly Christian college and to church.”

I think this professor has a brilliant idea! What if Christian women and Jewish woman wore the hijab during a week that Advent and Chanukah overlapped - in solidarity with Muslim women and all the children of Abraham who have died as a result of conflict among his descendants? I think that it could be a very compelling statement, and I wonder what insights would result from wearing a hijab for a week…

8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, “Rulers of the people and elders of Israel: 9 If we this day are judged for a good deed done to a helpless man, by what means he has been made well, 10 let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by Him this man stands here before you whole. 11 This is the ‘stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone.’[a] 12** Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved**.”

There are many who are deluded, and in the name of “brotherhood” would sweep the great and glaring differences between Christians and those of other beliefs under the rug.

I had this discussion on another thread. I do not believe our GOD and Allah are the same as they know who JESUS is, and He and GOD are co-equal… If they knowingly reject CHRIST, is that the unforgivable sin?
