I know this is probably not the most appropriate forum to place this question on, but I’m not sure which forum would be the best, and since I’ve received such wonderful feedback here, I thought it would be ok to post this.
Does anyone know anything about this “healing tool” used to “restore harmony” to one’s life? A Catholic friend of mine has a sister who apparently “does” Biogenesis. From what I gather, she takes crystals of some sort and waves them around a person’s body “healing” them. My friend did it and said she felt cooling and warming sensations and a peace thereafter. I was VERY skeptical about this (thinking it sounds like a New Age type thing) … but my friend insisted it was “harmless” and it “felt good.” She originally said she thought it was “hokey-pokey” originally until her sister insisted she try it. Her sister who is performing this is also Catholic.
Then it even got more weird, because my friend said her sister can “talk to spirits.” I explained how that is not something the Church promotes. She continued to go on about how the Church can be wrong about things like this especially because her sister “knows” these are all good and positive spirits. I proceeded to tell her that no one can “know” that … especially because the devil will give you 99% of the truth but that 1% lie is what leads you astray … so the spirits may seem good, but they probably aren’t.
I don’t know what else to tell my friend about this. I don’t know enough about it. I know when I talk about Yoga, it’s easy to defend that the positions and meditations are actual prayers to Hindu gods … but I don’t know enough about this to say how it goes against the Church.
Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you so much … and God bless!!
