I’ve been making the journey across the Tiber for the past year but still have a few issues. I have been a evangelical Christian for the past 5 years but am returning to my Catholic roots after much prayer and study.
My problem is the Church’s teaching on artificial birth control. Although I don’t fully understand the diff between artificial as compared to NFP, I am willing to be obedient to the Church on this issue. (we have 3 children already, just trying to space them out a bit)
We are both open to life, but my wife who has been in the evangelical church all her life sees nothing wrong with artificial birth control. She will not be converting and has been raised to be critical of the CC and thinks this is just a tradition of men that’s not biblical.
It’s very hard to discuss the issue with her based on her ingrained beliefs. Anyone else have this issue, or any advice on what to do?
