If Birth Control is forbidden because it violates natural law, then why is science allowed to intervene when it comes to disease?

Treating an illness or disease in no way violates the natural law. Contraception does violate the natural law.If Birth Control is forbidden because it violates natural law, then why is science allowed to intervene when it comes to disease?

I never understood this either. Now I understand the difference. As I once saw it, if medical science is good for society, how can it be bad? Well medical science isn’t good or bad, but how it is applied CAN be.Treating an illness or disease in no way violates the natural law. Contraception does violate the natural law.
Perhaps you can explain what you believe natural law to be.
Because God-given fertility is not a disease, despite the teaching of our culture. If Birth Control is forbidden because it violates natural law, then why is science allowed to intervene when it comes to disease?

Heard a great quote on this once: “Usually, medicine is used to help heal something broken. However, with contraception we take a completely healthy and properly working system of the body and mutilate it, insert devices into it, or pump it full of chemicals until it completely malfunctions. In any other context this is called poison.”
So basically you agree with the modern Western cultural view that pregnancy is a form of disease. Nice.If Birth Control is forbidden because it violates natural law, then why is science allowed to intervene when it comes to disease?
Can we remember to be civil and accept the OP’s question as legitimate? So basically you agree with the modern Western cultural view that pregnancy is a form of disease. Nice.
Birth control is not forbidden. Artificial contraception is. To address your question: Is disease a natural function of the body?If Birth Control is forbidden because it violates natural law, then why is science allowed to intervene when it comes to disease?
I called him on it before. And it was ignored.Newbetx,
I’m glad you can. I’ve seen at least 30 posts now by TLM all attempting to undermine catholic sexual teaching among readers. Honest questions are fine, but there comes a point when intent can be discerned.
