Good point on the ills of hormones, as well as the method of raising masses of food animals. Soon we will be growing complex proteins and it will be so inexpensive that the raising of livestock will likely be for only special occasions. I predict that you will not even be able to tell the difference in texture and taste…??

It is a LOT of conjecture, however recall back in history how Social Security was debated and the use of a national number was promised NEVER to happen now they are talking about using biometrics. As far as the tiny countries absorbing our doctors all that will need to happen is for the worlds best doctors to decide to NOT move to the US and for our best to decide to leave and we will have issues. Currently many Indian and Oriental doctors come to practice in the US because of profit. Like any other commodity I believe they will go elsewhere once our government starts mandating wages. Our own brightest will then be under pressure to follow them. What do you think our country will do? More conjecture on my part but the US has relocated MASSIVE numbers of its own citizens and housed them in cages when it felt threatened in the past, i.e. Tule Lake in California. I find it highly probable that our own doctors will try and go elsewhere to provide for the best opportunities for their families. The US will end up with a brain drain. Up to this point the US has been VERY successful draining other societies. I fear that is about to change.

Unfortunately I was alive when the last vestiges of a real currency was traded for paper. Ron Paul is right that we need to return to it. Eventually we will be forced to return to something of value. What ever it is will have to be tradeable, so I don’t think it will be Oil, and paper will not be accepted as no one will trust it.

I agree and unfortunately the wealth will follow cheap labor as long as we allow it to leave. Then again I wonder what would happen if, I will call him Mr. Dictatorhead, decides to give every US citizen 1,000,000 US Dollars and then one week later convert the US dollar at a rate of 10,000 old dollars to 1 new doleso. Would it cause a war as we wiped out the vast majority of our foreign debt? We would have had to have some major industrial investments ready as we would have to quickly rebuild our non-existent manufacturing sector, but we could trade internally again and possibly make arrangements with some OLD western or North American friends to look the other way as they do the same thing? Very deceitful, but something Mr. Dictatorehead could do?

Yes, I heard several debates on this matter on NPR. It seems that there is, as you say, a factor of cost vs lives. It is a tough one, but being a plutocracy, the money will win out… .

We will be forced to make some horrendous choices or if you have money take your spouse and daughters to Costa Rica a Panama, or elsewhere to get real treatment. I have no doubt that a country will start this business if we kill ours. How will our government stop this? Will it stop Dr.'s from traveling or the general public, or both. Will it level fines if you seek treatment beyond your licensed government provider? This could get really ugly.

I do not believe that we will suffer the same as Europe. The reason I say this is that we are bringing in Catholics and Islam is just not compatible with Christianity. You mentioned that vast movement of people already occurring and I agree to a point. Our melting pot is still working. If a US white marries a Hispanic their children are classified as Hispanic and not white. Why they do this is beyond me. I grew up with a friend of mine with the last name of Garcia. He was no more Hispanic then I was third generation Mexican American. We do have problems, in some areas but nothing like what is going to happen in France or Germany when the Euro finally collapses I think, at least we have some commonality. That being said I am sure we will point fingers and blame the bankrupting of America on the illegals instead of the real culprits,.human nature being what it is to find a scapegoat. Europe is going to be extremely ugly I think.

I do like to fish, but have not been able to do so for some time. My kids love the hurricanes as it means a trip to Orlando. I and my wife on the other hand do not much care for them. The cost for insurance is terrible. We had not yet purchased our home when Wilma went through and a lot of our friends got flooded. Our house did not, but if a CAT 4 or 5 were to go through we would lose everything. My wife loves the place, I can live pretty much anywhere. I do miss Elk Grove. We lost my Dad, going on three years now, but I grew up on 30 acres. I got to raise all kinds of Animals, hunt and fish. It was all good. One of my sisters still backpacks Desolation yearly. I used to love hiking in there, fishing the Rubicon and Lake of the Woods and Upper and Lower Echo.

Back to the thread I wonder what would have happened if we had not legalized birthcontrol. We would have another 57 million people in the US in abortions alone. We would likely be able to subtract a significant number of the illegals that came here as we would have not had a demand for their services and so I think they likely would not have come. Simple economics would have had them staying in South America. It really does make me wonder you know?

To every action their is suppossed to be an equal and oppossite reaction? I wonder what the reaction was for the legalization of Birth Control and Abortions. Their had to have been some effect.

Besides, I’d like to see one instance of Jesus walking up to a non-jew (there were plenty in his area) and commanding them not to sin. He never even tells anyone not to sin (go and sin no more) **until they have come to him, and expressed a desire to follow him! **The obvious exception is the pharasees, but they were stating that they followed God, which clearly the were not. This is why he called them hypocrites.

Do not steal
Do not commit adultery

etc.

These bind all mankind. Laws of sex and marriage are part of natural law. They bind all humans.

Actual the Judiac laws have some very strict sexual laws as well, many of which are not honored by Christians.

Yes this is a prime example of taking things out of context, which is really not your fault as sometimes written messages on forums don’t bring out the tone that our voices do when we speak. Sorry about that, I should have tried harder to convey what I was trying to say.

My comment of , “And good luck with that” to Whitacre Girl’s last sentence, it was an addition to the sentence and was directed to those people on this forum who have said just that.

My comment was not wishing Whitacre Girl good luck in irradicating the U.S. of noncatholics

You know it is exchanges such as this, limited to this medium of the printed word that demonstrates quite convincingly the need for an official and authoritative interpreter of the Bible.
Here we have two people trying to communicate via the written word, each thinking they were clear in their statements and each being misunderstood by another and needing to “Clarify” that which they originally thought was already clear.

Just something to think about.

You know it is exchanges such as this, limited to this medium of the printed word that demonstrates quite convincingly the need for an official and authoritative interpreter of the Bible.
Here we have two people trying to communicate via the written word, each thinking they were clear in their statements and each being misunderstood by another and needing to “Clarify” that which they originally thought was already clear.

Just something to think about.

Your not kidding… a phone call is far better then an e-mail and a visit in person is better yet.
