I’ve been studying Genesis again along with the Great Adventure:Bible Timeline Study. The study is excellent. I have a question that Cavins doesn’t address, or I wasn’t listening. The birthright and blessing are marked passed down from Abraham to Isaac, then Jacob bit then it seems authority goes to Judah, the double portion to Joseph (his sons), and the patriarchical priesthood to Levi. Is this on track?

The birthright passed from Jacob to Joseph (thru double portion given to his 2 sons). 1 Chronicles 5:1-2 tells us Reuben (the oldest son) was passed over because he had “polluted his father’s couch”, so it was given instead to Joseph/his 2 sons. See 1 Chronicles 5:1-2.
I don’t know if the Scriptures record who receives the birthright after that.
