I read a book entitled “Theology of Vatican II” by Bishop Christopher Butler which was very informative and enlightening. At the time, I knew virtually nothing about Vatican II and this book was my first exposure to it’s theology and history.
While surfing the Web, I came across this website:
Vatican2Voice
vatican2voice.org/
For some reason, I’m always a bit skeptical when I read about Vatican II because I know many dissenters use the documents to justify their questionable positions; I’m always aware that these people use Vatican II to justify their dissent. I believe the Holy Father refers to this as “the Spirit of Vatican II.”
Anyway, what do you make of this man and this website? Was he considered a conservative or a liberal? I have no opinion whatsover, but I do tend to think that he’s a great scholar.
Thoughts?
