Nobody said the leadership of the Church isn’t concerned about it’s participants getting closer to God.
The rules of the Church are not changing because someone took communion outside of the state of Grace.
Every priest would be a fool to think that the hundreds of people who receive communion each week at their parish are all in a state of Grace.
It’s reality.
It’s not something to get crazy about.
