I received the sad news a short time ago that Bishop Lawrence James McNamara - Bishop Emeritus of Grand Island, Nebraska - passed away this afternoon.
He had retired just over 2 months ago and this past Monday he was a Principal Co-Consecrator at the ordination of his successor, Bishop William Dendinger.
May he rest in peace.
