Latin Masses are good for unifying the Church, yes, as well as expressing the awesome mystery of our Lord. But we don’t need to denigrade (sp?) vernacular ones in the process, which can bring many souls to God if reverently said. And for the record, while I’m sure you are referring to the Anglican Church of England, I hear that Latin Catholic Churches in England which celebrate the Novus Ordo Mass in English do a pretty reverent job of doing it. That being said, the last part of my paragraph is off topic—I just had to come to the defense of the vernacular Mass before any other comments of this sort come. I will now return you to the topic at hand which is that regarding Bishop Morlino.AWSOME!!!
There is no need for girls to be altar servers. Serving at the altar of God is supposed to be one means of fostering vocations to the Priesthood of Christ…as Christ does not call females into his Priesthood, it is pointless for them to serve at the altar.
There is no need at any time for ANYONE but the Priest to serve the communion.
Every single Latin Rite Mass on earth should be said in Latin. There is no reason for it to not be…we are the LATIN Church. If you want the Mass in English, I hear England has a national Church that is bleeding members where the Mass is said in English.
God bless Bishops like this!![]()
