Holy Family in Saginaw appears to be in communion with the Church. Also, it is one of the few, if not the only church in the City of Saginaw, that has not been wrecknovated. It is truly a beautiful church building!

I’ve heard that St. Stanislaus in Bay City is an excellent parish. I have some friends who go there.
The pastor there is Fr. Bill Rutkowski and he is a gem.

Fr. Bill is a wonderful guy, and a wonderful priest.

And although I may incur the wrath here, I have to relate a story from Fr. Bill.

When he was an associate at my parents’ parish, they invited him to dinner. During the conversation, he related that he was disappointed that throughout his tenure as a seminarian for the Saginaw Diocese, Bishop Untener never once visited him. Fr. Bill said he never asked why, he just assumed it was because Bishop Untener knew he was more conservative than other seminarians from the diocese. He based this on the fact that all the other priests who came into the Diocese at the same time talked of their visits from the Bishop, and his support for them.

Now, perhaps there were other circumstances that came into play. I’m simply repeating what Fr. Bill said.

And by the way, BKnebel, you also may want to hit St. Andrew’s while you’re here. I’ve heard it’s become quite the “progressive” place.

hey thanks y’all! I hope to make the journey!

I hope some of you could come here, too!
