Grow up. This is the “Traditional” forum. I wanted to know where to find a letter written by a traditional priest. You want to rant, start another thread and bash the alter Christus there. If this is too much for you or anyone else to handle, go cry about it in the “Liberal” forum.
:crying:  :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Did you not read what you posted: …I’m sure the intentions of John XXIII and Paul VI were good…That was not criticism of a “who” but of a “what.” Slight difference, dear.
Did you see any criticism of Bp. Williamson’s person in my reply? No, rather I critiqued his words, which were ridiculous. I’m sure his intentions were good, but then again so were Hitler’s, right?
By the way, what was the title of the thread you took my quote from? Did it have to do with the topic? I believe the issue was about Vatican II…what was so inappropriate about me commenting on the Council?
Madame, what is the title of this thread? It is “Bishop Williamson and women” is it not? What, then, is inappropriate about us commenting on Bishop Williamson’s view of women? You are being irrational. But then again, if I held His Excellency’s views on the subject (which I don’t) I might have expected as much, eh?

What a slam:rolleyes: This takes me back to the second grade:

“You’re stupid!”

“No No, you’re stupid!”

“Oh yeah?”

“Yeah!”

Pathetic. I’m usubscribing to this, I have better things to do. If anyone has a question/accusation I didn’t address, PM me.

Yep, I agree. That’s why I commented on your new thread.

Sorry!

This has gotten so bizzare. Has anyone thought to consider the context in which Bishop Williamson is speaking ?

And do you show the same respect alteris Christis whom you consider “liberals” that you demand for Bishop +Williamson?

Edwin

Okay, I’m back. 24 hours without sleep can make a person a little nuts. Anyway…deep breaths

Sorry. You don’t own the thread just because you started it. It’s a public thread.

Edwin
I was trying - admittedly, uncharitably - to keep the thread on track. This thread was not started to condemn the Bishop and his opinion, but to find a letter he had written. Moderators do this all the time. True, I’m not the moderator, but why nag them to get involved.

Do I show the same respect for a priest who has cut himself off from the Church by teaching heresy? No, I don’t. Should I? Proabably. The next time I mention an alter Christus by name and condemn him, call me on it. If I’m not reminded (pathetic, I know) I’ll go off on an uncharitable again (regarding Bishop X, Y, or Z). What can I say? Catholics are sinners too, and that includes me in the extreme.

I want to post on this thread because I dunno anything about him.
I promise to be good:D
Why is he such a controversy?

Most people tend to (almost) hate him because he doesn’t believe that Jews were killed in the gas chambers during the Holocaust. He was recently reprimanded for his statements in this regard, and has agreed to look into the matter more closely. Apparently, when he researched this (way back whenever) his sources were a bit biased.

He also believes in women being women.

The whole article is very good, you should give it a read. Contrary to what many would like to think, he actually praises women (that is, women).

I will try to help you, 🎉 🍿 :hug3:
This could get batter.

Yes I just read it, printed and he seems to be using Saint Thomas and CArdinal Newman to back him up. Will read further thanks

I am also trying to understand. I am having a hard time with his idea that those of use women who went to university and got our degrees are some how unnatural. That really boggles my mind that some one from the CC could come to this conclusion. What if a women was not called to the married life? Or the religious life? What was she suppose to do with out a degree? She needs to survive. God gave us a brain, we must strive to use all of the gifts that God gave us, aren’t we?

I don’t know just my thoughts.

College isn’t necessarily bad for women, as long as they’re going to college to pick up a feminine trade, a trade which He created us for (teaching, nursing, etc). He’s not going to call us to somewhere He doesn’t want us. If we feel called to live with manly responsibilities (granted, there are exceptions…St. Joan of Arc - my dear Patroness - and Judith) we need to pray a little bit more and be sure that He is in fact calling us, that it’s not the devil or our own passion driving us.

You don’t like it? Get off the thread. That simple.
I don’t suppose this would be the right place to discuss his holocaust denial then? Since you already got what you wanted out of this thread, what’s the point on sticking around?

That sounds suspiciously like an opinion.
