They could read a few of the threads here and get their answers without spending the million. This sounds more like politicians or bureaucrats than bishops.

My guess is they will pay for the report and then see what it says. If the report vindicates the bishops (not likely) it will be posted in every news media available. If the report says the bishops are a bunch of incompetant clerics, it will be buried and never see daylight.

A million dollars would build 10 Habitat for Humanity homes, a much better investment if you ask me.

Around here, the cost of a Habitat home is under 40 grand. The land is donated, as is most of the labor, and they make use of such things as dented doors and special order windows that weren’t picked up. At that price, the money would build 25 homes.

O.K., I can’t argue with that. It further emphasizes that homes are better use of the money.

The bishops were Incompetent, wheres my money ? LOL
Jesus nver mentioned gays,Birth control, Euthanasia,or abortion. All things the church beats us over the head with.
He did talk about people that mess with children,he said that death was too good for them ! This is what the bishops didn’t know was serious ! Now who believes it.

They were protecting the priests, and themselves and they’re still protecting themselves !!!
