There is a lot of that in my country.

I also don’t want to be disturbed late at night when I spent a long time getting the children to sleep.

I know a few old churches (1000+ years old) that have the devil worshippers turn up every year to do strange things.

The worst thing is people saying it is just a bit of fun.

This might be a cultural difference. Here there is not a demonic connection. It really is just a bit of fun, and we also have far worse things.

There’s plenty of escape from it. I mean the only thing that seems like it might be imposed on your is trick-or-treaters. And they’re easily turned away by a doused porch light or a sign indicating your don’t celebrate it.
