Just popping in to read more responses and to say thanks again to all who answered…boy when I first posted that question I had no and I mean no idea I’d get so many great replies 🙂
Malia, I still think of you and this thread occasionally at Mass. For instance, tonight at the Holy Thursday washing of the feet, I was struck by the beautiful diversity of our faith. There were white men, black men, Hispanic men, and Vietnamese men in the group. Yay!

Holy Week blessings to everyone!

Happy Easter Everyone !!

This post popped up in my email this morning.

I have not posted in a while.

I stopped in to say hello.

The post by AveSantaMaria is a very interesting post. St. Josephine Bakhita is one of my many favorite saints !

It is so true on what Dr. Alveda King speaks about. It is so saddening. I read some where in another post a while back that there are 50 million abortions per year throughout the entire world. It’s genocide of the entire human race. Many people do not realize, that for every birth control pill that is being consumed, there is a poor soul being aborted.

If you’re ever in St. Louis, stop by St. Alphonsus “The Rock” Parish in North St. Louis. It’s
a Roman Catholic parish (Redemptorist) in a heavily African-American community, and it has produced holy priests and excellent evangelists, some of whom have been interviewed on Catholic Radio.

Here’s a story about it:
