This page is no longer active. When you try to access this page it gives an address of the media company I think he was associated with.

It’s been almost a year (February) that this whole mess began. Lets pray for him and hope that he either is in a rehabilitation center or rethinking his message, as apparently his webpage wasn’t successful.

May he receive the grace to obey his superiors or grace to go to Confession and be welcomed back into the fold.

St. Michael, please pray for him as well as all the other priests that are being tempted and unfairly accused of deeds they didn’t do.

May Our Lady protect them and St. Joseph, guardian of the Church come to their rescue.

Perhaps we could all begin a novena, not only for John, but for all the priests that are in danger of falling. If Satan manages to remove these priests, our Church will be endangered because of lack of the Eucharist.

Blessed John Paul and St. John Vianney, pray for them and for the entire Church, Amen.🙂

Maybe a little more Cure d’Ars and a little less Celebrity would be a good recipe for him in the future.

Prayers for him. I try not to criticize priests, but I think it’s important to pray for them 🙂

He never left the fold. The allegations against him were known to be false and the investigators dragged thier feet in clearing him. I will never support SOLT again.

soltnews.blogspot.com/2011/07/press-release-concerning-fr-john-corapi.html

5 July 2011

SOLT’s fact-finding team has acquired information from Fr. Corapi’s e-mails, various witnesses, and public sources that, together, state that, during his years of public ministry:

He did have sexual relations and years of cohabitation (in California and Montana) with a woman known to him, when the relationship began, as a prostitute; He repeatedly abused alcohol and drugs; He has recently engaged in sexting activity with one or more women in Montana; He holds legal title to over $1 million in real estate, numerous luxury vehicles, motorcycles, an ATV, a boat dock, and several motor boats, which is a serious violation of his promise of poverty as a perpetually professed member of the Society…. Catholics should understand that SOLT does not consider Fr. John Corapi as fit for ministry.

It’s gossip. Let it go.

St. Paul put gossip in the same list of sins as murder. Let it go.

“God’s will be done” and let the subject die. God can do amazing things in an environment of peace and tranquility so let it to.

-Tim-

It’s not exactly gossip. Corapi, with the help and approval of his SOLT superior, made himself very, very famous and very, very rich from the gullibility of Catholics, while living a debauched lifestyle, as a practicing priest of that order. Therefore Corapi and SOLT do owe Catholics a few explanations, which have been clarified for quite some time now.

I appreciate “yinekka” listing them in a factual manner, there’s no need to gossip as the evidence speaks for itself. But there is a need for TRUTH, especially when apparently many devoted Corapi followers still can’t quite face it or have not yet heard it.

Oh here we go again. different thread, same old biddy gossip.

It may not be gossip, but the need to post about how “evil” one side or the other is is just as bad. Do ya feel better?

The internet said it…it must be true!

Sayonara to this thread. Next!

By all means, if it makes you that angry, this thread probably isn’t good for you. Some of us were discussing facts, not “evil”. I really don’t see what’s so controversial?

It’s all be shut down. Nothing in new media associated with Fr Corapi is running (ie twitter, FB, his website etc)

Perhaps its all dismantled now including his business SantaCruz Media.

I’d just like to draw readers’ attention to the fact that what I posted on this issue was taken directly from the SOLT website to which I provided a link in my post.

Patrick Madrid’s site had posts that said after a hunting trip in Sept. Fr. Corapi asked that his business be closed. I don’t know if his biography did well or not, but he put that out for a month or two on DVD and that was it.
I hope he finds peace and we don’t ever read anything sad on the Internet. I don’t believe SOLT lied, they would be libel in a big way along with the priest, lawyers, and others involved. They don’t owe you the evidence, this wasn’t a public trial but they felt they had to explain why it was serious and to say more is making him open to more scandal…why can’t people see that? Silience protects also. I would be appalled if they showed the texts or photos or anything else and that would be very unjust.

Being on TV and Internet can be great but it does open a large window for other things to happen, some not so good. I admit there are times when I see Fr. Mark on EWTN, I wonder how Fr. Francis (Dave Stone) is doing, I pray he found the right path to follow under the circumstances, but that’s his life, not mine to know because he was on TV although it’s humn to be curious.

Just because it appears on a website does not mean that it is true.

I was talking about John Corapi with my mom the other day. I think blame lies on both sides. SOLT knew that JC had past addictions. He had hun out with a lot of celebrities in the past, so he enjoyed attention. They should never have had him out in the public like that, the temptation was too great for him. He also should have known better. He should never have agreed to be in the public eye like that. He pet vanity and greed take over his life, and now has payed for it. Lets hope he sees the error of his ways.

I agree, blame isn’t on one person, but I don’t think SOLT or the priests involved or lawyers, or psychologist lied about evidence. The libel in that is extreme, any lawyer would drool to get that case if nothing was there after a public statement. Nothing was said or done and they seemed to know there wouldn’t be.
When you’re a public figure, the unfortunate side, is that you get public scrutiny. I don’t think Father really owes anyone anything unless he owes people money that paid for subscriptions, etc. His sins are his own. He can live comfortably now without working and I hope he can find his way with the freedom he has and not have it be a curse. God is with us always, but sometimes when he seems far away, sometimes it’s us that drifted also.

We don’t know who the people are at SOLT who accused him. We don’t know if they are honest and agree with all the teachings of the Church or if they disbelieve in them and wanted to ruin Father Corapi’s reputation. They did not present any evidence to the public when they publicly accused him.

They said they picked a balanced group, religious, non-religious, psychiatrist etc. I doubt they all had a conspiracy against him and any lawyer could bring that to court once it is public. No one seems to see that when a religioius organization felt the need to say what they said, there was reason and he never accused them or wanted to take them to court…he just left. If anyone said you had an affair, sexted people, etc. to your wife or parents and you didn’t and they publicly said it, you wouldn’t ask someone to sue them for libel? They said “He did” not accused of…I have to admit if someone said that about me, I couldn’t rest until I cleared it up.
They don’t owe you the proof, that would be horrible, they aren’t the National Star, THEY would have done that, not a religious group. They said what they needed too and went on with their lives. So did he.

To repeat an old press release in part:
The team included a priest-canonist, a psychiatrist, and a lawyer. Two were members of religious orders, and one was a lay Catholic. Two were men, and one was a woman. All three have national reputations and substantial experience in ecclesiastical processes related to priest disciplinary issues.
SOLT’s fact-finding team has acquired information from Fr. Corapi’s e-mails, various witnesses, and public sources that, together, state that, during his years of public ministry.
He did have sexual relations and years of cohabitation (in California and Montana) with a woman known to him, when the relationship began, as a prostitute; He repeatedly abused alcohol and drugs; He has recently engaged in sexting activity with one or more women in Montana; He holds legal title to over $1 million in real estate, numerous luxury vehicles, motorcycles, an ATV, a boat dock, and several motor boats, which is a serious violation of his promise of poverty as a perpetually professed member of the Society

I for one don’t want to see personal things like that, whatever proof they had, that type of stuff, it attracts you, pulls you in, but then it makes me feel dirty later and I wish I didn’t read it. If someone lied, I hope the truth comes out.

Prayer For Priests In Times of Uncertainty

Lord Jesus Christ,

as you gazed down from the Cross in Your bitter agony

upon the beloved and faithful Apostle, Saint John,

Your anguish was increased

by the desertion of the traitor and the other Apostles.

In spite of this desertion Your love embraced them

and all those consecrated men who would forsake You.

We, therefore confidently beseech You now

to rain abundant grace on shepherds who have gone astray.

Where there is present groping uncertainty,

let there be light;

where there is present overshadowing gloom,

let there be joy;

where there is present mounting struggle,

let there be peace.

Guide, O Lord, the straying shepherds back to the fold,

[especially Father N. ]

and assist them to walk surely and lovingly in Your sight,

for only in union with You

will the shepherd find true light, joy and peace.

Give to all priests inspiration in time of doubt,

patience in time of adversity,

fortitude in time of weakness,

that with Your love ever pressing them on,

they may lead others ever closer to You.

Amen.
