The premise of the show is that “Jesus” is the leader of a gang in modern day Compton (throwback to 90-era hood movies). Here’s the synopsis of the first episode.

“When Jesus and his “homies” fail to buy some marijuana, they decide to grow it in the neighborhood garden.”

It’s definitely not something I would encourage others to watch.

I watched the first episode. That wasn’t the premise at all.
 
I’m surprised this is on cartoon network and not adult swim(I know they are owned by the same people but you dont just see an ad for rick and Morty middle of a Steven universe episode)

I’m just more surprised at the choice of channel when its live action

Edit it is on adult swim
