There are scientifically verifiable side effects to smoking. You an not scientifically verify the moral implications of an action.

I dont understand how can one scientifically verify whether there are side effects to black magic or not.

Only way I can think of is by monitoring the consequences of doing black magic on the one doing it. But this way will also be not enough to pro-"Black magic"ers as they may argue that the consequence was the result of some other action of the person and not due to the Black magic rite performed by him.
There may be other ways but I dont see any.

You need to define what you mean by black magic. Very very few people self describe as users of “black magic”, even within the magic using community. The man the OP is referring to is a exorcist/healer, things not exactly considered black magic by most.
 
What Thomasag is telling is correct,I am also from Kerala, Chatans are Hindu Gods, eg:Vishnu Maya is the most popular .If the person who did Chatan seva did not transfer it to his or her’s children these chatans wreck havok on the descendants(generations enslaved).Or else diseases like mental illness, Psoriasis,confused minds,migraine type head aches lack of conceiving and all incurable, financial troubles,disasters ,troubles in education,enemy etc results.
The best remedy for it is offered by some Capuchin Fathers (priests of St. Francis of Assisi in Kerala)who are specialists in this field,but now a days such capable priests are on the decline. Also praying to Jesus and filling with Holy spirit will lead to drastically reducing the severity of the problem.Attending retreats,Holy mass,praying to the blessed sacrament is best.
 
Holy Spirit, please send us more priests for deliverance/healing ministry!

Demons are never under our control. These are lies from the demons. They may pretend to be our slaves but they are not. The only things that they do that (deceivingly) appear to be “good” are things that further their evil plans.

The demons are under Christ’s control alone. Our priests exorcize demons by the authority of Christ.
 
Yes and no demons are masters of deception so they could pretend to be controlled when in reality they are not, but medieval grimoires have spells and sigils to controll angels and demons whether or not it works I dont know luckily I didnt dive that far into the occult to find out best advice is talk to a priest about deliverance or exorcism if this is your case

I gently suggest that anything other than a passing intellectual interest in this sort of thing might be potentially dangerous. This whole kutti chaathan thing is evil in nature and does not pretend to be anything else, so this is not just an opinion.

Consider turning your mind to lighter subjects. As a Catholic, it is my understanding that I must not engage in, or cooperate with evil in any fashion.

Have you heard of Genie?,Kutti chatan is the Indian version of the same,If you query for “Genie” in internet you will get lot of service offering Genie slaves for 150$ to 600-700$, they send the same by courier,They promise that once the mantra is recited the slave becomes attached to you.But they are silent on the aspect that if the Genie(that kit) is not transferred before death to another person usually Sons, then the Genie becomes enemy to your Generation,usually it is very badly affected to either the elder son or the younger son and usually daughters are spared.
** Same should be cautioned by all churches to its devotees or else people fall prey to the easy money and invite great trouble to their generations as they are easily available through internet**.

Christ him self said–How can Satan cast out Satan? If a house be divided against its self how can it stand? eq. The devil is the father of lies and so his familiars will be as well. They will be happy to get you to play with them and make you feel powerful , they know that the ego is an easy rout to the soul, but you will pay for everything you get from them. Native Americans knew of these evil ones and their ability to possess a human beings and had, and still do have ways of cleansing them selves of Malevolent/Malignant spirits, but using the evil spirits own power to expel them is never part of the cleansing, those who do use negative majiks are called Stiginis and are not considered true medicine people because they use negative arts, known to be of evil origin, these Stiginis only use this power for personal gain and are called upon by the vengeful to cast a curse. So you see that even those who are not Catholic or trained in Christian ways can determine good from evil medicine and understand that one can not engage in evil and remain good or produce good by using evil.
