I was hungry before mass and so I bought some
frozen potato skins w/ cheese and bacon before
mass. After mass, I invited one of my friends to
tea at my place, intending to share the treat. I sat
waiting for my friend, but since I was hungry, I
finished cooking them(there were about 10 of them),
they were really delicious so I ate until there were
4 left, intending to let my friend have a least a bite,
but it was almost an hour after mass by then, “he
isn’t coming”, I told myself, and so proceeded to
consume the rest w/o him. But I believe I “took a
bribe against the innocent” and need forgiveness!!
He never showed up, but I am feeling VERY guilty
about it, please pray for me.

I think that your friend would have understood. He didn’t know that he was coming over for potato skins anyway. So as long as you gave him some tea and fellowship, I see no wrong here

Hey! Don’t you become anxious because of that! This is more of hunger than a sin, and if so, it’s venial not mortal. You’ve said sorry, you shall be forgiven. Praying for you!

Prayer for Peace of Mind

Fortify me with the grace of Your Holy Spirit and give Your peace to my soul that I may be free from all needless anxiety, solicitude and worry. Help me to desire always that which is pleasing and acceptable to You so that Your will may be my will. Through Christ Our Lord, amen.

You didn’t sin!!!..your friend didn’t show up…its your food and you are entitled to eat it and see that it didn’t go to waste…even if your friend did show up you weren’t obliged to give him any of them …so don’t feel bad about eating them:D

It was nice of you to get the food to share.
He’s missed out!

Lord bless the friend with more consideration. If he’s not going to show up, bless him with the grace to give his friend a text or call.
Bless GLam, who sometimes worries too much.

I feel certain you did not sin but am praying for you regardless. God bless you.

Amen.

St. Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the Devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,
and do thou,
O Prince of the heavenly hosts,
by the power of God,
thrust into hell Satan,
and all the evil spirits,
who prowl about the world
seeking the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Be free of your anxiety. Anxiety does not serve man well.

There is no sin here, only scrupulosity. Be at peace! I’m praying for you…

PRAYER TO ST. CHARLES BORROMEO

O glorious St. Charles, the father of the clergy, and the perfect model of holy prelates! You are that good pastor, who, like your divine Master, gave up your life for your flock, if not by death, at least by the numerous sacrifices of your painful mission. Your sanctified life on earth was a spur to the most fervent, your exemplary penance was a reproach to the slothful, and your untiring zeal was the support of the Church.

O great Prelate, since the glory of God and the salvation of souls are the only objects of solicitude to the blessed in heaven, vouchsafe to intercede for me now, and to offer up for the intention of this novena, those fervent prayers which were so successful while you were on earth.

You are, O great St. Charles, among all the Saints of God, one in whose intercession I should most confide, because you were chosen by God to promote the interests of religion, by promoting the Christian education of youth. You were, like Jesus Christ himself, always accessible to little ones; for whom you broke the bread of the word of God, and procured for them also the blessings of a Christian Education. To you, then, I have recourse with confidence, beseeching you to obtain for me the grace to profit of the advantages I enjoy, and for which I am so considerably indebted to your zeal. Preserve me by your prayers from the dangers of the world; obtain that my heart may be impressed with a lively horror of sin; a deep sense of my duty as a Christian; a sincere contempt for the opinion and false maxims of the world; an ardent love for God, and that holy fear which is the beginning of wisdom.
Amen.

St. Charles Borromeo, pray for us!

Glory Be, to the Father
And to the Son,
And to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning,
Is now and ever shall be,
World without end.
Amen.

As I’ve posted in another thread,
I’ve been having problems w/ control-
ling my spending, and esp. w/ my
MISSION a Church for the Poor, I
NEED to get myself out of this
tail-spin, for the praise and glory of
Christ’s Name for my good and for
the good of all His holy Church.

“Who can condemn us, it is God who
justifies, who is it that can bring a
charge against God’s servant, Jesus
Christ, who died, what is more is
risen from the dead and He is at
the right hand of God INTERCEDING
for us” Rom. 8:33-34

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

†

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

Thank you for ALL your prayers, the point
of it is that my mind is focused on earthly
things. Since I have been RAISED w/
Christ, and seated w/ Him in the heavenly
realms, my focus should be on heavenly
things, for I DIED, and my life is hid w/
God in Christ!! Col. 3

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son,
and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the
beginning, is now and ever shall be
world w/o end.
Amen.
