1Jo 1:6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
1Jo 2:3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
1Jo 2:9 He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now.
1Jo 2:19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, **they would no doubt have continued **with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.
1Jo 2:20 But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you all know.
21 I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth.
Sounds like reassurance that they KNOW.
1Jo 2:29 If you know that He is righteous, you know that everyone also who practices righteousness is born of Him.
1Jo 3:6 No one who abides in Him sins; no one who sins has seen Him or knows Him.
