Blessed by photo?

Years ago before attending Mass I remember seeing someone touch their rosary to our photo of the Holy Father (I assume it was blessed) and happily walk away. Was she having her rosary blessed that way? Is that even possible? Thanks in advance.
 
No, it is not possible to have a rosary blessed that way. Perhaps she was just showing respect to the Holy Father by that gesture.
