  1. Burn during daily prayers and/or spiritual reading time.
  2. Burn during a storm (but carefully and with attention because you don’t want to have a window blow out and have the flame catch the house on fire!)
  3. A blessed candle from a baptism can be burned annually on the anniversary of the baptism - for example during a meal celebrating that event.
Someone else will probably come up with more!

According to the box . . . “Candles blessed on Candlemas day are brought home to be used throughout the year for religious celebrations, sick room visitation and as sacramentals during time of hardship, danger and for Devine guidance. To prepare for a priest at the home of the sick or dying, arrange a small stand on which a clean white cloth has been spread. Place on the cloth a standing crucifix, two blessed candles and a saucer containing Holy Water.”

I try to keep a blessed vigil candle burning at all times for the holy souls in Purgatory (in a safe location). I inform the priest why I’m asking to have the candle blessed. To date ( been doing it for a few years now) all the priests who’ve blessed the candles for me approve.
