Blessed Palm Question

So I found what I’m pretty sure are blessed palms from Palm Sunday in the trash. I guess my parents didn’t know you weren’t supposed to throw them away. I took them out and buried them a couple days later. I also found more on the floor of my backyard where my dog usually dog usually does his business, even though we pick up his poop, we don’t wipe it down with like disinfectant or something, so I’m afraid the bacteria could be on the palms. But I buried it too. It is sacreligious that I didnt wash the palms with like soap and water because they were in a trash can and a dirty floor? What should I do? Thanks.

What should I do?

Burn them, then bury the ashes. If they’re not dry enough to burn, you could cut them into pieces and bury the pieces.
