Blessed prayer aids and the 'wrong' prayer

If I use a set of blessed Rosary beads to repeat the Divine Mercy Chaplet 50 times instead of using them to pray the Rosary, do I still gain the benefit of the blessing, I am still using a blessed object, and still using it for a holy purpose, just not the one it was designed for?

I am using it to. The intruction on how to pray the Divine Mercy is done in the way that we can use the Rosary to pray it too.

When the priest blessed my rosary, he said, “May this rosary and the one who uses it be blessed, in the name of the Father…”

He did not say, may this rosary and the one who uses it to say the prayers of the rosary…

We have to be careful of getting into magical thinking about sacramentals and blessings. God loves you and will bless you no matter what prayers you say using your rosary.
