Does anyone use blessed salt and if so, what do you do? Do you take a jar of salt to your priest and ask him to bless it? Holy Water I can get. Blessed salt I am not sure what to do.

Also, what happens when a priest comes in and blesses your home? Are there certain blessings he uses? Does he bless all the rooms? Your whole home? Are there prayers we say a long with him? Is it customary to have the priest join you for a meal when he comes to bless your home?

Thanks and God bless.

You can sprinkle blessed salt around your home. It doesn’t have to be a lot, just a pinch in each place will do. It is effective against evil spirits, particularly if someone invites them into your home, e.g. by occult practices. (When dealing with a possessed person, though, definitely get a priest or contact the archdiocese. You don’t want to take that on by yourself.)

You can bring a container of salt to your priest and ask him to bless it, but if he’s busy don’t expect him to do it on the spot (there’s a special rite he uses, which he’ll probably have to fetch). You may need to leave it with him, then pick it up another day.

When a priest comes to bless your home, he uses a ritual with written prayers. If you have a copy you can say the responses. See the ritual and instructions here.

Some priests walk to every room and sprinkle holy water, others just sprinkle in one place and say all the prayers. (I like it when they do the former.)

It would certainly be courteous to offer the priest a meal, but if he’s on a tight schedule he may not be able to stay for one.
