When I use this in my home how does it work in regards to demons coming in and tempting us? Obviously used with Faith.

Does it mean they don’t want to enter our home?
Does it mean they are weaker when they enter our home?
Does it mean they cannot bear to stay as long as they usually would like to?
Does it mean we are stronger in resisting their temptations?
Or maybe something else?

Thanks.

Hi Nelka,

The use of Sacramentals depend upon our faith.

I looked up information on them that can explain their use much better than I can.

Here is a link to an article from EWTN, that explains the use of Holy Water.

I hope that it will help answer some of your questions.

Here is the link:

Here is a link from the Catholic Sacramentals website that explains about the use of blessed salt:

Hopefully this will help to answer your questions, too. You can also read again about Holy Water on this same site as well.

God bless you! 🙂

If the salt and water are blessed using the traditional form, which includes the exorcisms and a very powerful and efficacious blessing: the demons fear it.

I’m not sure probably normal blessing. Can I get mine upgraded or should I get some new salt exorcised? There is a Monsignor in the area can he do it?

I have salt blessed by an FSSP priest, as well as Holy Water and candles. I often wonder if any of that does any good here. If it is doing good, I can’t imagine how much worse things would be if I weren’t using the blessed salt and candles and Holy Water.

Any priest can do those blessings.

So is Holy Water blessed with the usual blessing or the exorcism blessing?
The traditional form has 5 parts. Exorcism of the salt, blessing of the salt, exorcism of the water, blessing the water, combining the two. If the salt is already blessed, skip to step 3.
