All Essence comes from the Father.
The Son is always the Son, because the Father is always the Father. The Father does owe something to the Son, because a Father cannot be a Father without a Son. What does this mean? It means they have always existed together! The Son did not become the Son at some point in time. It also means, strangely enough, that although the Son depends upon the Father, the Father also depends upon the Son. Neither can exist without the other. Hence they both have existed from all eternity. But they are distinct in relationship to one another. We call that relationship generated, or begat.
